"I Hope She Has Headphones!": Aleisha Campbell Spills on Ex-Boyfriend Jordie Hansen's Engagement to Sam Frost

In news that crosses the spectrum of three of Australia’s biggest reality shows, Australian Survivor alum Jordie Hansen recently announced his engagement to former Bachelorette and Home and Away star Sam Frost. However, what you may not have known is that Jordie used to date Big Brother Australia competitor Aleisha Campbell.

Here’s how the timeline went down: When Jordie was on Australian Survivor: Blood Vs Water with his brother Jesse Hansen, he was dating Aleisha. While filming the series, he met Alex Frost, Sam Frost’s brother. Alex was competing with Jay Bruno, who was Sam’s boyfriend at the time, and the duo were promoted as “in-laws”.

However, by the time Australian Survivor actually went to air at the end of January 2022, Sam and Jay were dunzo, and at some point between filming and the series going to air, Jordie and Aleisha broke up as well. While Blood Vs Water was airing, Jordie and Sam went public with their romance, and just a few months later, they’ve now announced their engagement. Phew! Got all that?

We love a bit of goss, so obviously we had to ask Aleisha about it all when we spoke to her about her eviction from Big Brother Royalty Vs New Contenders. Thankfully, she obliged.

Calling their romance “very short and sweet”, Aleisha confirmed that she and Jordie dated for about “six or seven months” and that she had seen the news of his engagement.

“I’m happy for him, if he’s happy with Sam,” she said. “If he’s happy, good on him. He wasn’t my person and I can tell you that right now!”

We had to wonder, was it all the references to Joker that Jordie dropped on Australian Survivor that tipped her off?

She laughed.

“Oh my Godddddddd, trust me!” she exclaimed. “That boy, I mean, you thought I could talk?! That boy talks worse than I do! So if Sam’s got some headphones, then, great! She should use them!”

She continued: “No, we were just not made for each other.

“I’ve got a boyfriend now and he’s amazing, and I wouldn’t have met him if I was still with Jordie, so in a way I thank Jordie that I’ve met my person.”

As for whether we’d ever see Aleisha, the mob boss herself, on Australian Survivor, well, she’d “love that”!

“You know what, when Jordie and I were dating actually, that’s when he was on Survivor and he needed to bring someone on, and he actually said to me, ‘oh, you wouldn’t last on Survivor, you couldn’t do it’,” she revealed, “‘coz I’d said ‘bring me, babe! I’ll go with you!’, and he was like ‘babe, I don’t think you could do it’.”

Determined to prove him wrong, Aleisha then “applied for Big Brother, got on, and beat him”.

“I got fifth, he got sixth,” she explained. “So I was like ‘that’s interesting!’. If I got the opportunity I’d love to go on there and show that I could probably take it out!”

We joked that there should be a Blood Vs Water season where exes go up against each other.

“Ohhhh, BRING IT ON!” she exclaimed. “You thought I played hard on Big Brother? I’d play 10 times harder against my ex!”
